Evine has 180 days or until mid-July to improve the stock or they will be dropped.

I knew about HSN because my roommate would watch and laugh about Tootie. I was up studying (she was about 15 years older, established at Hopkins and owned the house I was renting a room in) and heard her laughing, popped my head in and learned about the magic of home shopping. To me, HSN looked like something done out of someones' basement. They used to count down the sale price but if you called in and ordered it, you received the lowest price immediately (didn't know that and they never let on). It became something to have on as background noise and that was that.

QVC was introduced to my by mother and grandmother (who lived with my parents) when I came home for Christmas one year. The difference between it and HSN was obvious. Kathy Levine was the star then and it was something the three of us would watch while the snow fell, snacking on popcorn or pretzels and hot cocoa, lol.

One day my mom was wearing a GORGEOUS piece of jewelry and told me was from a place called ShopNBC. Let me just say that some of her most beautiful and unique pieces came from ShopNBC. I would catch a show now and then and remember watching the McCoys and some bald guy with glasses who sold 18K gold from Italy that was breath-taking.

IMHO, I always saw the channels as:

ShopNBC: elegant, classy, timeless, unique

QVC: the younger sister of ShopNBC that offered clothing and home good but mainly clothing and jewelry that was very nice, well priced but not as high end as ShopNBC

HSN: the tacky aunt who sold stuff at flea markets.

I am done with Evine.

I have not bought much from there over the past months.

I liked a few SKINN products - still have a stash of those. Won’t follow him on HSN or probably even bother order from his website either.

I liked and always enjoyed Michael and Gems En Vogue - obviously a little too much, looking at my jewelry. His selection is not nearly the same as it once was though to me. So done with him too.

Also, liked Sam and One World. There too though - the selection and the quality/sizing is slacking also. So done with that brand too.

Done, done, and done.

No problem. There is plenty out there from which to choose.

Maybe online shopping channels will go the way of the dinosaur.

They will go by way of Sears and JCPenny..... they do not keep up with what the public wants....too slow....not enough choice...shipping too high$$$$..

. Bye bye shopping channels on TV......

Even though they have some nice things for sale I just never get excited watching their channel. It’s kind of boring. Maybe the boredom aspect affects their bottom line.

I actually enjoy watching Evine when certain shows are on.  I like Michael Valitutti's Gems En Vogue & every now & then I'll catch one of the One World fashion shows.

Evine is my favorite. My go to for summer clothes.  Most of my jewelry I purchase from Evine.  Lot of variety.Smiley Happy

I was home at lunch, flipping around the channels.  Evine was having a Fashion Warehouse sale. They were literally broadcasting from inside a warehouse. There were racks of clothing all over.

You could barely hear the host or vendors because the sound was awful. They sounded like they were in a tunnel or like their mics were hooked on the bottom hem of their shirts.  LOL

You could hear overhead doors opening and buzzers going off and other miscellaneous noises.  It was the oddest presentations I've ever seen.

ValueVision was tied with Montgomery Ward, not Penny's.

This is kinda off topic but I was at Sephor yesterday and saw a lipstick I wanted and it was 21.00 it was the exact same lipstick I had in my 'saved items' and it was the same price- 21.00

Later that night I got a survey from QVC asking me several questions. One of the questions was about value. I wrote that they were selling the same lipstick from Smashbox for 21.00 which was the same price as Sephora. How is that Value? After s&h and tax and waiting longer then 10 days how is that convenient.

I also told them I am buying less due to receiving damaged goods and their quality was lacking and there is no QVC anymore.

I hope they do something or they are going to go the way of EVINE.
