I just checked my weatherbug app and it looks like it's done here for today but we're supposed to get more snow Saturday and Sunday. Not sure how much.

It looks worse now than it did last night.

not sure if we are due to get this storm in the maryland area or not.
@sunshine45 In our area of NC, just the mention of ice on the evening news clears the shelves on most grocery stores. I enjoy peeping in shopping carts to see what others think are emergency items. My cart usually has the boring basics, coffee, bread, chocolate, donuts, frozen pizza, etc.

With a cold that it was almost inevitable that she would get; about a third of her group was sick. And which is pretty inevitable that I will now get as sneezing abounds. Sigh.
Beloit got 8 inches of snow last night.

Kat, I was thinking of this today.
I lived in North Chicago for a little over 4 years (husband is retired military). How I remember those storms. Born and raised in Wisconsin, i fondly remember those snow storms. shoveling snow and have no idea where to put it.
I remember going to the commissary and stocking up because you never knew if you would be able to get out. DH would stay on base just in case roads became unpassable and he was needed at work.

I shop during the store when the stores are empty. ![]()

A headline on Google news this morning was that everyone was going to the store to buy orange juice in the hope of warding off the flu.
