I love bison burgers and if the meat is not overcooked, its good. I can't eat beef, it has a strange taste to me. Everyone is different I guess.

I did and thought it tasted gamey.

I wasn't aware I was eating buffalo. I ordered a burger from a restaurant and took one bite and said something about the meat tasting funny. I took another bite and said it had a strong taste and something was off with it.

The people I was with informed me it was buffalo.

it is a little gamey. We had bison filets last night -- I don't think I will get them again.

I love ground bison and bison steaks! I can get them at Martins (sister supermarket to Giant and Stop & Shop in the MidAtlantic and Northeastern states). I cook them to medium rare, and they are delish!!
