Re: Ever Wonder Why You Do Not Like The Sound Of Your Own Voice?

Re: Ever Wonder Why You Do Not Like The Sound Of Your Own Voice?

Have heard myself on radio broadcasts and seen/heard myself during my years when modeling for a local department store. Mom and I have been confused by our voices, laughter and appearance over the decades. We apparently sound the same in person, as well as on the phone. We have been able to fool family and friends without trying.

Re: Ever Wonder Why You Do Not Like The Sound Of Your Own Voice?

I don’t dislike my voice but recordings don’t sound like I think I sound. It’s like listening to a stranger’s voice.

I have used this to my advantage when preparing a speech or presentation. Once I record my message I can experience and analyze it in a completely objective way. A big help in improving both composition and delivery.
