I'm referring to an out of body lasting experience or a death experience where you saw the other side and came back.  I have never had this happen.

Anyone care to share?

Re: Ever Experiienced That

[ Edited ]

I have never had this happen and don't know anyone who has.  About 2 yrs. ago I had a stroke and had one bleed out  during surgery and another one in intensive care. After one of them ( I don't remember which one).... I just know I was being wheeled somewhere and felt like I might be  dying or passing out.  All of a sudden it either came to my mind or was a soft voice.... (again I don't know which) that said..."I will never leave you nor forsake you"...this is a Bible verse I learned many years ago.  I  immediately felt much more calm  and peaceful. Later I woke up with all my family there including my husband, kids, grandkids, sister, etc.
all waiting in the waiting room. I eventually got to see them all just a couple at a time and how blessed I felt!

My son went into septic shock in our pediatrician's office when he was 14. When the paramedics arrived, they could not get a pulse or blood pressure. We were told he technically died that day. He was revived after chest compressions. All of it was my worst nightmare. I asked him about whether he "saw the light?" He said he saw nothing, no light, virtual darkness. Yet, to this day, he has said he would never be afraid to die. In college he graduated with a dual major. One was Religion. He is probably one of the best human beings I have ever known. Lives his faith, gives back.

No and never hope to experience it

This might be the most unusual post I have ever read in this place

Personally I don't believe  those that truely die can go to heaven and come back. I get that from the Bible itself in John ...a book of the Bible.

I feel it's the result of an active mind, during a near death, or out of body experience. A dream like state that can be confusing and one that probably adheres to the individual's belief system, or perhaps fears.

Who knows, but once when I had surgery, when coming out of anesthesia, while still very sedated, I began talking about rabbits. I had no idea I was doing it, but the nurses were telling me what I was saying. It was information that I had no knowledge of even knowing about rabbits, but very detailed. Guess it was somewhere in my memory bank.

I guess if I had talked of Angels, it would have been viewed as a possible spiritual experience. So I don't believe in out of body experiences, only what's already in our head. What we need, or what we fear that surfaces under physical stress, or perceived threats.

Reminded me of an experience my grandmother told me about years ago:  The night her mother died, she came to her in a dream and said:'Caroline, I'm so cold .  They took my clothes.  Please bring my robe. ". Well, the next day, when she went to the funeral home, her mother was laying in the casket wearing just a slip and underwear.  They hadn't put on the dress she wanted to be buried in yet,  Eerie.
