This has been a little difficult one to watch, but she's doing a good job with her newborns, 2 so far. The first one looked so big, even tho wet! 2nd one a beautiful panther. I find myself pushing right with her. They are getting the initial baffing treatment yet with the usual complaints! They seem very alert.

Bless her heart the way she has her kittens in the corner and is all curled up around them...extremely protective and you can see how vulnerable she feels...If only there was a way to let her know that her and her babies are very loved, safe and secure!
I look forward to seeing her being able to rest and relax and nurture and enjoy her kittens...It looks like kitten # 3 is taking its time, so I will check back in tomorrow morning...I'm so relieved for you sweet Serenity!
All will be well!

@yahooey .. I love your post and screen shots...so cute!...Your "kitteh" talk always impresses me and I very much appreciate your adept translation for all of us....I have no doubt that you expressed exactly what Serenity & Nelia are saying to each other!...I love how Nelia is peeking around the corner at Serenity as if to say...."Iz not bodder you...juz wants yuz to knowz Iz here ifs yous needs mez."
@Marp ...Thanks for the PSA!....What a precious sight to awake to this morning with Serenity totally planted in her blankie with her kittens....finally resting so peacefully!
I love that huge bowl of food that Shelly snuck in for her....Last night, during the births, she had posted that she has Serenity's favorite fluffy grey blanket all clean and ready, but she will be waiting several hours before making any changes as to allow Serenity bonding time with her kittens and to alleviate as much stress as possible for her...Of course, we all know that Shelly always shows such compassionate and loving attention to every detail.
TKHQ has just about wall-to-wall kittens now!...I love this style of decor!
Wishing Everyone A Happy & Peaceful Day!

Thank you @Marp for your announcements and keeping us up to speed on the long awaited births!
And @yahooey for your awesome pics and kitty language commentaries! I just have to chuckle and I don't do that much anymore.
And @wildflowers for your giving us the emotion and feelings of what this is really all about. Focusing on what sweet Serenity is really going through and the compassion we need for her. True cat empathy - I think it comes natural to you!
And @Witchy Woman for your putting your love of kitties into action so often with your making things and putting together baskets, etc for the benefit of our fur babies. I nominate you to make a special blankie for Serenity - I think it would be her favorite.
And Clem too, I know she would be in on this somehow!

@HerRoyaLioness ....What a sweet, thoughtful post!
I just need to add another special poster.
Thank you for all that you contribute to this thread...your warmth, thoughtfulness, compassion and understanding as shown throughout your posts as we all share together, as well as your personal loving contributions to help rescues.
CLEM would have been so thrilled with the wall-to-wall kittens at TKHQ!...I'm thinking that maybe one day she will surprise us and pop right back in here...She is missed!

@yahooey- I happened to see the um, acrobatic maneuver when it happened and thought to myself, we humans are giving birth all wrong! We need to do flips and somersaults and various contortions as these Momma cats do, they know birthin' Of course, we would need to have Shelly provide us with a mat and nice soft blanket and refreshments afterward........
@wildflowers- you sweetie you, thank you for for kind and generous words.
I just looked at poor Serenity with different eyes after what you all said about her and the "shutting down" - that's just what it seems like. Who knows why she is this way or what may have been in her past experiences. She is being the very best Mom she can right now, and I admire and love her for it. She is very courageous Now I wish we could get that into her mind, so she could relax and enjoy more!!!
