Re: Entitled Child Demands Employee Hand Over Her Purse!

"...snot-nosed spawn...'??

I stopped right there.

Obviously an article posted on social media like

PopSugar or Yahoo for clicks.

It reads like one of those made up clickbait stories.  Definitely not a legit news story; I can't imagine referring to a child as a "little snot-nosed spawn" in a legit article.

@Caligurll

I didn't read the comments before I wrote mine.

You saw the exact same thing!
Yeah, can't imagine anyone thinking this was real.

As someone who once worked in a high-end department store, I absolutely believe it's true (the mother being so demanding and going to corporate) but beyond that...no. However, the stories I could tel you from back in the day...

What I don't believe: Management backing up the employee. Maybe 15 years plus ago (because of what I've been through and witnessed with others) but today? Nope. Buddies at Nordstrom, Macy's, Target...ANY retail establishment (my son could tell you stories like this from Staples) will tell you they are left high and dry when it comes to customers going off on them; management does NOT stand up for the employees. That's why I doubt this took place.

But in this case it was a dispute over the employees personal property so the manager had to be on her side.

I don't believe any manager would require an employee to hand over her own purse.

Why wasn't the purse put in her locker to begin with???

Then the "snot nose spawn" would never have seen it

Such a nonsense story.  Sounds as though it was written as  tongue-in-cheek.

It sounds to me like the author really doesn't like children very much, and makes them out to be  monsters

We wonder why people believe everything they hear on their favorite newscast or read on their favorite website.

As long as it supports your beliefs, it must be true.

What in the heck is Oola dot com? I'm not even looking at that. Please be careful about your sources for things.

I certainly doubt the veracity of this story.
