OK, no one will argue that it's not a good idea to have your address properly and clearly marked for emergency situations but our township just put up 20" x 8" highly reflective green signs at the end of each driveway. TWENTY INCHES WIDE by eight inches high green reflective signs as you would see on freeways. Most street signs at intersections aren't this big. We still had our old placard from probably 20 years ago up and it was adequate.

When you drive by an area of houses that are fairly close together at night it is really hard to watch for deer when these crazy placards are lighting up our rural area like the Vegas Strip. I wish they would have offered them for request instead of just taking our old ones and replacing them with these monstrosities. Such a waste of money.

They are wonderful for hard to find hidden driveways where the house is back off the street in the woods or otherwise hidden but......what if the homeowner doesn't want the address marked???
