I never have understood the testing frenzy.   It means nothing except right for the moment you take it.    As others have said on here you can test negative in the morning and get the virus later in the day.   So yes, it is a false sense of security.

I think we just all want to be in control of the virus.    We should all have learnt by now, this is not going to be something we can outsmart and control.     Therapeutics and vaccines are the best way we can manage our lives around it...not wipe it out.   If we think we are able to wipe it out by our actions, we are delusional.

GURL...

The tests are BOGUS.  They tested positive vegetables and fruits in Africa.  The media has sent people going CRAZY ! ! !

And I do love that Elon Musk moving tesla from ca to texas!

Did you hear that he took 4 Corona tests? He had two positive and two negative. I know the average person doesn't have this option.  It makes me wonder if this is the reason for the spreading of the virus. Just food for thought.

I think it was the rapid antigen test that he took.  My daughter is a nurse and she said the doctors she works with do not trust it.  The rapid one is not reliable.

Hopefully the other types of tests are better.

This is exactly why there is no coming together. Is Musk telling the truth? Is the positive the accurate outcome or is the negative the accurate outcome. We can't even have testing foolproof what with no experience before with this virus, throw in human error and biased reporting coming from what political is inserted.

Wrong is still wrong just because you benefited from it.

I've had 4 tests, too.  I"ll probably have many many more.  My mother is in a nursing home and a negative test is required prior to entry to the building to visit. Anyone can get them.

Testing is imperative, not just for the person being tested and the safety of those he may have infected but for tracking the trends of the virus.

Regardless of the fact that there testing is not 100 percent accurate, it is close enough to help individuals and health experts, the latter who are reponsible for knowing which locales are seeing increases or not.

From what I understand these tests were supposed to be the best when it comes to accurate results!  Not sure, were all 4 tests the same type of test?

My mother has a doctor appointment for next Friday.  I called the office to make sure it would be safe for her to go, and they told me the entire office is tested every Monday, so it is quiite safe.  Can they possibly think that would make me feel better?  Tests that may or may not be accurate on Monday and she is going on Friday.  Just have to pray all goes well.

Make you feel better, what should they have said? You called and asked and now you know. What you and/or your mother decide to do with that information is up to you. I haven't a clue what you expect from that doctor's office.

I have been to my Hematologist's office 9 times since the ***** Virus hit. I have been to see my PCP also for a complete physical.

Spent hours in the ER with my wife and 2 days, for several hours in her hospital room.  I didn't question any of them because I trust them to be doing what is best for all concerned.

I am also in the highest risk category which includes 3 serious underlying health issues.

I made my choices with much less information than you, and I described the what and why. To me it was not a scary or worrisome decision to make.

Me too! Why would any big business want to operate out of there? I am surprised more haven't moved, but I am thinking many more may be mulling it about.

I know several people that tested negative though they had the virus and later tested positive on another test.
