Re: Ellen's show . . . disappointing

I have mentioned before, that I wasn't wowed by what she was selling here. I could get similar things at Pier One or Cost Plus for a lot less.

First of all, I guess she doesn't show up, she has a representative.

Second, I was shocked at the products. I thought I was going to see a home decorating show.

I saw outside furniture, an umbrella, and two iron balls.

This was the first time I watched. Is this how it always is?

QVC was selling outside garden stuff yesterday. Hence, "the outside furniture,an umbrella. and the iron balls."

Apparently, Ellen's "call-ins" are due to customers complaining about her not presenting her items, and it is a poor solution.

Re: Ellen's show . . . disappointing

Not to defend Ellen, but many products are sold on QVC without the vendor being there. I can see it being a disappointment to many. I would enjoy seeing her, as I did Joan Rivers. I have to say, honestly...most of the celebrities that come to promote their products are HORRIBLE. I mean bad, embarrassing. Look at Jennifer Hudson, the Kardashians, back in the day Joan Collins, Morgan Fairchild, Angie Dickinson. Loni Anderson were not good and seemed to know little about their product.

OMG, one time when "A League of Their Own" came out, JRT promoted it shamelessly! They actually drug Penny Marshall on for an interview one afternoon. it was probably the worst interview ever. I turned it off post haste! LOL! Penny did not say a word. She was either nervous, embarrassed or didn't know what was going on. I have seen her in other interviews, so she is usually good. The silence was deafening!

So, in some cases maybe it is better the Hosts take charge and do the job they are paid for, and not worry about vendors!

Maybe Ellen is not only busy, but not product oriented? She may not stay on track as a comedian?

I'm not even tempted to look at her iron balls.

Yes, this is how her show always goes. Every week it's Carolyn, Taniya and the girl who does facebook(dont remember her name). I think Carolyn said Ellen won't be on until the end of the summer. Either last week or the week before, it was just Carolyn and the Facebook girl, no Taniya. I've watched the shows, but wouldn't miss them if they went away.

They actually were nice. $38 was a little pricy though and they were on advanced order. Many were ordered before Carolyn mentioned it.

I hate to say it, because I love Ellen but it doesn't "WOW" me at all. You can find the same stuff in Target for less.
