I was so saddened to hear he had passed. He seemed like a very good man, I think he wanted the best for this country and all its citizens. He seemed like the voice of reason, may he rest in peace, prayers to his family and friends.

What a loss our country suffers with Rep.Cummings death.  What a giant he was...a true Statesman.

I am saddened by this loss, a gentleman of dignity, love for his country, a fighter for rights, a representative who was respected and admired, Elijah Cummings will leave a void in the heart of this country.

For all he did during his life time, for all the hard work and effort he put into his fight for civil rights, I thank him.  May he be at peace with God.

He was one of my heroes and I'm sure to many others.

I met him several times and yes, he was a great politician and beautiful person that really cared about people.

I don't  really know much about his accomplishments, (have to Google that part), but in recent photos, he didn't look well. I figured something might be wrong.The doctors said that he could return to work a  few weeks, but his health problems eventually caught up with him. 

68 isn't old; may he RIP.
