This is such a heartwarming story of a mother & child elephant being reunited!
Typical Mom, she seems most interested in cleaning baby's ears! LOL!
My 'feel good' moment for today!

Elephants are phenomenal animals. They say if you want to observe positive maternal behavior, observe a female elephant with its offspring; they constantly touch the child with their trunks. When I was in Africa, I was watching a herd swim and among the herd was a mother teaching a very young elephant to swim; the water kept going up the baby's trunk and it would cough and spew and she would lower her trunk and the baby would hook On and she just kinda shook him/her and put it back in the water....after a bit he/she swam unsteadily and she hovered next to her baby. They are beautiful sensitive animals...thanks for sharing!

OMG! I am sitting here crying my eyes out. This is so beautiful thank you so much for posting this. Animals have always been my passion and my soul. Besides my DH I wouild give my life for any animal. I definitely prefer their compassion, kindness, and love above humans.

Additionally:
* they're very female-centric, as all of the ladies help each mother to raise her child.
* they're really family and friend - oriented, plus they're big on group support.

I love elephants. I can't remember where I saw this recently (maybe here) but it's great.
