I can imagine it happening not just to older people, but many people who live alone. Years ago, my neighbor who was a single school teacher constantly ordered things and her living room was full of unopened boxes (I never saw her other rooms). Unfortunately, she had a bad stroke and had to go to rehab. Her sister had to arrange to have her belongings packed and move. It cost $10,000,000 and that was 15 years ago. I wonder if this man could simply delete the credit card from her account?

Remember that show where a team would declutter a home, remodel some and give free furniture? Family had to have a giant yard sale to pay for all this. I remember some homes having tons of unopened qvc and hsn boxes. Very popular at the yard sales.

Perhaps the husband could find some why to entertain his wife so she doesn't have to rely on shopping channels.

What's scary is the auto deliveries that just keep on coming after the spouse dies.

He seems to be a very devoted husband and was told he could block the channel from his cable plan. He said he already did that with HSN, but his wife really likes watching QVC. So he lets her watch, but just doesn't want to have to pay for all the unneeded merchandise.
In addition to having dementia, she is also somewhat immobile due to other health issues, so there isn't a lot she can do besides sit in a chair and watch tv.

Oh...and this man is in his early 80's and has his own health issues that he's dealing with. Rainy...how about some sympathy for both of them?
