The title of your post is misleading.  El Dorado, CA, and El Dorado Ranch Park, CA, where the fire is, are several hundred miles apart.  I live close to El Dorado, CA, and was quite shocked to read that there was another fire so close by until I read the article.

From what I read, they are in a boatload of trouble by their actions.  I would never be able to live with myself, knowing what my frivilous party caused.  Knowing how dry the conditions have been in California of late, not to meniton the heat, how could they not know the possible outcome of their selfishness.

@CAcableGirl2 : Our 2 daughters live in Denver and the smoke has gone over there making the air quality really bad. Daughter was going to have the GC swim yesterday and today while it was still hot (before tomorrow's snow!) but the smoke was so bad she kept the kids inside....in Denver!

You can't fix stupid. They could have done a cute card on the computer and emailed it to everyone. Hopefully, they will be fined.
