I was fascinated by Edward Bess' line and the new advice and things he had to say about
his line. Unfortunately, Lisa kept interrupting him. That drives me nuts! Besides it just
being flat out rude, we don't get what he has to say about his unique line. Also, when a host
keeps trying to talk so fast and talk over the guest it makes you edgy as a listener. It's too
hectic and not a pleasure to listen to. I like a nice conversation, a cool and calm back and
forth. Please, Lisa, I love you, but turn it down, girl. Sometimes more is not more.

I know it does seem rude, but she wants to make sure she gets her selling points across so his stuff sells out and they give him another hour long show. It seemed to me that Edward understood that, but it does make one anxious to watch it.

It's evident that the vendor is not important. Wouldn't the vendor be able to make selling points? Why have vendors at all?

IMO the host's role should be to facilitate the vendor in selling her/his product. I have seen instances where the vendor is camera-shy and this is where the host does a good job stepping in. Then there are those vendors who are extremely knowledgeable, know their product inside out, have an excellent camera rapport and an easy and intelligent way of explaining their product to viewers. They don't need a lot of host intervention. I didn't see last night's show but that would be someone like Edward Bess.

I don't watch QVC very much anymore but read a lot about Lisa doing that. I did catch the show last night and that drove me crazy, but I got the impression it was his lack of experience and rambling on and on just about how much he loved his product, whereas Lisa was trying to get selling points across. I attributed it to his lack of experience on the show. When I could make out what he was saying it didn't seem to be anything important, like how to use it, color or anything like that, just repeating things he'd said before. I'm not saying that to bash him, I bought his products, just that was more the impression I got. But agreed...it drove me crazy.

Lisa had a job to do, & Edward was excited & passionate about his products....that's all there was to it. They work well together...sheesh.

That is her job.... she is the captain of the ship... and keeps the ship afloat.

I must have been watching a different show because Lisa was very respectful of Edward and allowed him to talk about all of his products. She seems to be the punching bag of discontented women who watch QVC and always find fault with her.

Considering a dear friend of hers has just passed, I would think folks could maybe give the Lisa bashing a few days break? Too much to expect I guess.
