i want to say this. some threads have posts missing. some are closed and posts then selectively edited out. i myself feel the editing by the webbies is not equitable.

also i have posts saying 'last edited' when i did not edit my post. for myself this is one of some reasons i don't post often now. sometimes it will be enjoyable to post. sometimes highly frustrating. where do we file our suggestions for the webbies?

IMO it goes back to people reporting the posts (signified by the edit reference on a post you yourself didn't edit). It says in the standards for the community that people who use the "report inappropriate" button too much will be banned, but I don't think they're enforcing it. There are definitely some people using that button all the time for certain posters they don't like. Then something happens behind the scenes with the Webbies that they'll delete the posts and it seems to happen somewhat indiscriminately.

Anyway, you know the Serenity Prayer? This is something we don't have control over and in the scheme of things isn't likely to change. They're very lax with how they moderate this board. It would take something monumental for them to change how they do that. Again, IMO.

Depends upon which webbie is working at the time. I used to find it annoying, but now it's just laughable to see "edit" under somebody's post. How sad to spend precious time like that.

Q Spirit.....it used to be if you wanted to add or delete or correct something on your post and you hit "edit" and changed your post, then it would come up "edited and the date".

Now, it's not only that, but it's posters who do not like what is posted and they hit the "inappropriate button"....We started calling them the EDIT FAMILY when they would show up on some of our posts. {#emotions_dlg.laugh} But, posters need to be aware that if you hit the inappropriate button too much, you just may get banned from here. (Of course, that won't stop anyone from coming back on - just need another nickname).

I have found that if I, personally, edited my posts for whatever reason, I type at the bottom, "edited by me".....just because.

I edit my post if I see I have misspelled a word since the grammar/spelling police run rampant on here...

You can also go to the left hand side of this forum under "THE Q" and click on that, then click on "suggestion box" and try that also in addition to emailing.
