It won't be over until the epidemic in west Africa is under control

We still may see cases here- but we won't see an epidemic and there's no reason for people to panic. We were told from the beginning Doctors know how to control the disease, and they do.

Maybe people are finally realizing we live with good medical care, totally unlike the areas where ebola rages?

And even there, ebola will kill fewer people than the common flu is likely to kill IN THIS COUNTRY THIS WINTER.

I feel safe from ebola - although I won't travel to western Africa any time soon.

They know how to control it but they can't control people and their actions.I think with the way people move about these days we will have a lot to control to stay on top.i just want to be aware .

The virus hasn't gone anywhere.....it's still active in parts of West Africa. You haven't heard much about it because there have been no new cases with a USA connection. If it's "just Africa", the press doesn't care.

Because it was never an epidemic in this country. Even though the media would have us believe otherwise.

It isn't just the press who doesn't care. As long as it isn't here the majority of Americans don't either.

Some on this board said millions and millions of Americans would get it by way of patient # 1.

They must be shocked that didn't happen.

The doctor who was diagnosed with ebola has been declared ebola free and will discharged from the hospital tomorrow.
