We all have to stay strong.  I recognize Easter is the most important celebration in my Christian Faith.  The Resurrection.

It will likely be a very quiet day, spent without church services and celebrating with family and friends.  Perhaps we can observe at home in a way that it is significant to us.  And we can contact family and friends to take the place of being with them.  The lesson of Easter, to me, is all about Hope.  A promise fulfilled.  I personally need the message of Hope more than ever.  I will be praying for the mercy of the risen Christ.

Re: Easter Sunday

[ Edited ]

The larger churches in our community have agreed to remain closed for everyone's safety. They are all live-streaming their services for as long as it takes to keep their staffs and congregations healthy. It's the only option in this unpredictable scare.

Very small (10 people or less) weddings, baptisms, funerals, and personal meetings are still being arranged in the Chapel of our church or the minister's offices.

Sometimes, small is better; certainly less stressful.

Our services are online for the next few weeks and until further notice.... I am grateful at least we can worship online.......  Easter looks to be different this year, but perhaps we all needed to take a step back and reflect on the true meaning of the day!!  ✝️

Our church has been live-streaming so at least they will be doing that I am sure. We will celebrate Easter or Passover no matter the method required. Thankful for technology; it allows people to stay connected during times like this...even the schools are still going to be offering instruction via online classrooms.

I have heard them say the huge numbers of deaths in Italy is due to the large % of very elderly there...in their 80’s and 90’s..the second largest in the world. I sincerely pray for everyone in harms way of this awful virus...and that means all of us. Seems to me that God has had enough of our our world has been going and is bringing us to our knees. I am not trying to start an ugly argument or debate, just my POV.

I will miss Good Friday-stations of the cross.  I still have my little booklet when I was a child and still use it.  I was GS's sponsor for his Confirmation and we would do this together.

I am sure there may be some services on tv that those without the options of streaming will be able to watch.
