Re: Earthquake in West Virginia

@Plaid Pants2  I'm not sure about fracking but I live here in North Central WV and I do know that the southern part of WV is big coal business. When I visited there about 12 years ago for Little League Baseball tournaments, it was still controlled by big coal businesses. They seemed to control a lot down there from my observations and talking to people while down there.

ST LOUIS (LALATE) – A Virginia earthquake today 2017 was also felt in West Virginia. The Virginia earthquake today September 13, 2017 started moments ago. It was northeast of Pearisburg. Damage assessment is pending.

USGS indicates to news that a 3.2 magnitude Virginia earthquake today was 2 miles west of Lindside, West Virginia. It was 22 miles west of Virginia’s Blacksburg. It was 23 miles from Radford as well.

3.2 is very smsll, everything should be ok.  The concern is if it's fracking.

@Mj12  Apparently it was a 3.2 earthquake - my DH said it sounded like a tree fell on the house - his neighbor ran out in the yard, thinking the same thing - it was MONROE county.

@Noel7  Yes he is fine, thank God - thank you for asking.

They aren't fracking in that immediate area that I know of.
