edited to add, just said on the news, it was 4.8.
@PhilaLady1 - I felt it in NNJ. It occurred in Lebanon NJ but felt as far as Mass. & upstate NY & DC. I remembered the last NJ quake & knew right away. My husband didn't feel it in the next room. Initially, I thought our building was coming down due to construction on the property. In Newark airport they heard a loud explosion like noise

It was a rolling feeling that got stronger and stronger. Very scary my chair was moving.

I was awakened by my bed shaking and things on my dresser rattling. I thought I was dreaming.

I'm in the "felt nothing" part of NJ (Salem County) and felt nothing. Which is nice. We have a fault nearby (Mannington Meadows) that tends to give the "bang" earthquakes where everyone thinks something exploded. The only "shaking" earthquake I've felt here was the big one that affected the Washington, DC region a few years back.

I thought a plane was about to hit the house as we live near an airport with sometimes low flying planes.

Yes! I'm in Southern Ct along the shoreline, and my condo started low rumbling and then visibly shaking, like I've never felt. At first I didn't know what was happening, as they had been doing landscaping work outside, (like did they drive one of the trucks into the building?!) but then it felt like something was on the roof, shaking from top down. By the time I realized what it probably was, by then it was over. Maybe 20-30 seconds. Weird, freaky feeling!
Only once before has that happened but that was much more subtle and smaller on the rhicter scale.
4.7 they said this was, (downgraded from 4.8, say some reports) with the center in (Tewksbury) Lebanon, NJ., depending on reports...

We felt it on Long Island. So scary. I also thought it was a plane.
