Ear drum perforation

Girls it all started with a slight pain in my ear. I put some ear drops at night and i felt a sharp pain. Did not have any discharge or blood coming out of my ear.Well I slept through and when I got up in the morning my hearing was muffled and I felt a lot of pressure in my ear. I have an appointment with the doctor on Tuesday but was wondering if I had perforation in my ear drum. Anyone knows or has any experience with it. It's nerve wrecking the pressure.
