The first sighting I can see of the 3rd chicklet is approx 6:00 am pst this morning, he/she is looking good! I am guessing #1 is learning he is # 1, practicing his bonking manuevers on #2 but # 2 is learning quick to bonk back, very cute. I just hope they practice on each other for now and let #3 grow a bit.

So some of you may remember Ozzy and Harriets nest from SWFL eagle cam (North Fort Meyers Fla.), alot has changed at this nest but there is a great couple M15 and F23 they go by, had 2 chicks hatch at Christmastime. They were the sweetest chicks to each other, watchers were all enjoying the cam when suddenly at approx 1 month old they both succummed to Avianflu. We are all just heart sick

but so happy for Shadow and Jackie and thier THREE chicks, I'm not sure they have had 3 or maybe before I found the nest. I have seen them raise one or none mostly because Ravens repeatedly steal there eggs. Hoping to see all 3 do well, its thier time.

The runt has arrived! He/she is the middle chick.....

So far, he/she is getting its share of food. Looks strong for a runt. Needs to practice "bonking."

@SeaGal Sometimes the parents will accidently drop the food on the chicks. The chicks will start bonking each other trying to eat the food off of each other.

@Mz iMac Great pic, except for the feathers this reminds me of me and my 2 sisters as kids, lined up in a row as this!!

When I saw the 3 first thing this am it was just the chicks in the nest, Shadow or Jackie were probably on the ledge, well very close any way, not feeding time. I think they were just having fun as it looked like gentle bonking to me but yes, I agree, when they eat the bonking scares me, they can get ruff!

I think they are just learning this bonking thing, I havent really seen any YET at feeding time. Its coming!!

I've had the live cam on since I got up.

A little while ago, Shadow had gone out for breakfast and brought back TWO fish. He put one on one side of the nest for Jackie and started pulling at the other fish to get small pieces.

Jackie stepped off the nest and sat eating from her fish. Shadow was pulling little pieces and feeding the babies.

When everyone was done eating, Shadow went to his nearby tree and watched over them.

Jackie now has her three eaglets who've been fed. She has a full tummy.

The sun is shining and life is good.

@Tinkrbl44 Bonking is when the chicks peck each other for dominance over the food - pecking order.

I wish we could do videos here. Chicks #1 & #2 are Mike Tyson & Mohammed Ali going 15 rounds.

#3 is still feeding off her yolk. While #1 & #2 are bonking each other, #3 is getting their food (which it really does not need).

Baby # 3 had fish for breakfast today ... and now, about two hours later, Shadow is giving all the kids a little more fish.

I guess Lunch is served, lol.
