Okay, so I've been channel surfing in and out of the Special Event/launch for the past couple of hours. Good heavens, but it seems to be sow's ear redux. Same hosts behaving the same mundane and dreary way, whether or not they have a glass of water-masquerading-as-champagne in their hand and there are faux photographers' flashbulbs going off right and left.

The clothing worn by the female hosts is making me wince. But the kicker - they are just dressing their everyday merchandise up as new and different and wheee! Waterford glass (most not crystal and made in Asia), Invicta, sheets & comforters, the usual clothing lines - same old/same old. The only thing new I've noticed is the Vanderpump stuff, which is reminding me of a dollar drawer of 1950s paste jewelry at Goodwill.

I'm disappointed in Kathy Levine as "hostess" - not the fun, witty, irreverent person I enjoyed once upon a time.

I had no preconceived notions of whether the channel's splashy debut would be a true new page or not, and was prepared to be pleasantly surprised. Only - I'm not. Meh.

Thanks for the reviews. I've never really been into this channel/website, but did place one order years ago..and it was for an Invicta watch. I've thought they don't have much variety? If they aren't going to mix it up more...well....I don't need any more watches.

This woman on now selling the DEVINE treats? She sounds like the woman who reps for Davids bake goods on HSN.

ETA - I just found a video for a David's Cookies product on HSN and it IS the same woman. So, it looks like EVINE is harvesting products and personalities from HSN for the most part. Guess she won't be on HSN repping for David's anymore and that's a good thing in my book, she sounds like Fran Dresher!

This noisy background is just as bad with EVINE as it is when the Q does these ""bashes"". It's annoying and distracting.
