Somehow reading a post in "NextDoor" i saw the incidents for EMS in the County next to mine. In one hours time from 8:18AM to 9:20AM there were 16 calls for EMS personnel.
I was shocked. I do not know how many Ambulance Companies there are in that County. But I don't think that today is much different from any other day. The sun is shining. The snow is gone except for on the lawns.
It shows the station that is handling the emergency. I am sure that requires quite a bit of coordination depending on the location of the station and the person having the emergency.
I have a new respect for what they have to do. I am so glad my husband makes a contribution annually to our local ambulance company.
PS In the time it took to write my post - 6 incidents were added.

At home we contribute to two different EMS groups. At our vacation place which covers a smaller area, we contribute to one.
Recently I had to call 9-1-1 for DH and the membership there significantly reduced our cost thanks to their relationship with our health insurance company.

Sometimes the fire department gets there first. They also need thanks 👍 Good people too.

And the police get there first in many cases. All first responders put their lives on the line for us daily and do not get the pay or the respect they deserve.
A few bad apples? Yeah--just like here but most are heroes!
Also there are a number of apps that allow you to listen to emergency calls in your area. You should try it some night just for an eye opener as to what these folks do for us. Sometimes in storm season we tune in to see where damage is occuring around us. Amazing.

Our township added an ems fee this year to all residences. I didn't care, we will also continue our outside donation for EMS even with the fee. Unsung hero's for sure.

I think it was just a routine day yesterday. I looked at today's (1/15) incidents and so far it looks similar. Except yesterday there were more caridiac issues.
