I have really just discovered these forums, and love them! So much diversity! Now here's my question:
I'm in my late 50's, and haven't worked in 11 years. My youngest child is 23, still lives at home, but obviously doesn't need me, anymore. Husband still works, of course. I find I'm really at a cross-roads with what to do with the rest of my life! I hate to say this, but I feel rather lonely at this stage. I don't have the foggiest about what I want to do; I just know I need something more in my life---something meaningful. I feel that at my age, who's going to hire me? I used to be an RN, but have absolutely no desire to work in that field, anymore, nor do I have a burning desire to go back to school. I don't seem to have any real goals right now! Those of you who have gone through this--or are going through it, now---what did you do? Any constructive ideas? Thanks.
