He retired.  I have found other eelskin items on eBay which worked out well for me.

I loved all of his products and bought so many wallets for gifts that everyone years later are still using.

My checkbook cover is a LS eelskin.  I just noticed the other day that I'm needing a new one.  I bet I've had and used this one for  25+ years.

I still use my eel skin Lee Sands wallet that I have had since the 70's.

I remember his last show on QVC.  He said he was retiring and none of his kids were interested in taking over the business.  I enjoyed his shows because he offered unique items and jewelry.
