The battery in the stick vacuum has died...I use it a lot and have had it many years, so I am not surprised I need to replace the battery.

If I decide not to replace (depends on the price) do any of you have a stick vac that you like?

I am open to other brands.  Thanks

Re: Dyson stick vac battery

[ Edited ]

I replaced my battery on my Dyson about a year ago. I paid around $50 on the big A. The battery was better than the original. It lasts about 15 minutes longer than the original did. It was super easy to replace; I had it done in under five minutes.

If I were replacing the whole vac, I would go with a Shark. I know two people who have one and love them.,

The battery in the Dyson I have must be ready to die because I'm lucky if the thing last 3 minutes it's totally worthless.....

@sann   Mine just started today...I can tell the battery is going.  But I have had it for a long time on the original battery.

@Mom2Dogs    I failed to mention but I do leave it plugged in all the time...honestly I don't think the thing ran that long when it was new....

we have two dyson stick vacuums and we love them.

you can easily get new batteries from amazon.

NEVER leave them plugged in all the time, just recharge as needed.

Mine died after 2 years. I’m going to take it to Batteries Plus and have it changed.
