Duraflame help putting on legs

Hi All,

I haven't seen anyone else saying they have difficulty putting on the legs. Is there a trick to getting the legs to snap into place? Help

@MAbuddy

Do you have these instructions?

MOUNTING THE LEGS
1. Align the 2 mounting tabs into the bracket (Fig 1)
2. Slide the legs outward to lock in place. The legs will snap into place
when correctly installed. (Fig 2)
3. Fasten the legs to the base using the included screws,1 per leg. If the
screw hole does not line up check that the legs are properly snapped
into place.

I found a video that shows how to attach the legs. Go to tsicustomerservice.com. Click on instructional videos towards the bottom of that page. Click on stoves. The first video shows attaching the legs.  I guess TSI distributes Duraflame stoves.

I cannot get my legs on either!  I tried for almost thirty minutes and broke out into a sweat!  I will have to call someone to help me!  So frustrated.  They make things sound so easy.  I feel sorry for older people who ordered this and don't have anyone to help.  It's heavy and hard to put together.

I'm an older person who has no help and I had no trouble whatsoever with the assembly.

I guess I should take mine out of the box.  It's been so unseasonably warm here I haven't bothered.   We've had snow by now before.

I didn't buy it but you need to be sure the mounting brackets line up. Maybe if you slightly tilt the leg (brackets forward) then snap it in?

Smaug: Thanks for posting the visual instructions. I am waiting for my heater and will save these for when it comes. I am an older customer, but I usually am pretty handy, so I hope I won't have a problem.

Re: Duraflame help putting on legs

Just so you know, I have three of these now and I don't think I've ever used the screws to fasten the legs.  Just snapped them into place and moved it to wherever it was supposed to go.

Please know, I place nothing heavy on top of them nor would I ever dream of sitting on one but if you are having problems lining up the screws I wouldn't sweat it too much.  Mine have been fine for years.

Enjoy your purchase!
