@geezerette, when I looked at Community Chat board right now @Cakers3 was in bold.  But, when I changed over to Forums @Cakers3 showed up as not bolded.

Hmmmm, mine does not show up like yours does, @Icegoddess . Cakers, for example, is bolded...yippee for @Cakers3. Ha!

When I click on the very few authors names that are NOT bolded, they are either new or occasional contributors. That's all I know about it...maybe a mod will clarify.

Yes on that.

As for the posters’ names, the new posters are not bolded, I believe.  I don’t know how many posts they require to become bold though.

I think you're right.  If you look at the Customer Care forum, I see a lot of OP names that are not bolded.  And dare I say in that forum, seems to me some people create an account to post a complaint.
