@CrazyKittyLvr2  I would not stand in a line for them but I have gone there and the donuts are delicious.  They have cookies as well.  I would not make it a habit since of course they are not the healthiest of treats but they are amazing.

It is absolutely worth going to.

You go in & you smell the glorious smell. You choose your donut.

There is a river of hot oil & the donut batter is dropped into the oil & floats along until it is perfectly light brown & then it comes out the other end of the river where the topping are applied.

Then handed to you.

It is magnificent!

Is the donut the best donut I have ever had.

No.

That would be from Bill's Donuts in Centerville OH.

It is a good donut & the smell & fresh warm donut is worth the stop.

I have a Duck Donuts near me.  When it opened of course we had to check it out.  Haven't been there in a couple of years now.  If I remember correctly they're all cake donuts and you pick toppings.  I thought they were just okay.  Nothing special.

Never heard of the them.  I dream sometimes about having a jelly donut which I loved when I was young--oh well!

There is a Nutella not far from us.  Frequently the line is out the door.  I don't even know what Nutella is--LOL!!

@CrazyKittyLvr2   Agree!  Would never wait in line for a donut!  We don't even wait if there's a line at our favorite restaurants.

Oh yes @CrazyKittyLvr2 , there are many things I would stand in line for. In fact, twice in my life I was with a family member and we were just walking about and found a line and decided if there is a line like this it must be worth it. So we just got in line.

1) The first was when we were teens and had been at the Tropicana hotel, I believe, and had just been in the pool so had our suits on with a little cover up. The line ended up being a chance to meet Donny Osmond. Turned out to be super cool as he asked us to remain and spend more time with him after they finished going through the line. We even got asked out on a date with him and his brother Jay. Memories to last a lifetime.

2) We were in NYC just walking around Time Square. There was this long line so we just walked into the line. We asked a security guard what it was for and he said it was for Broadway on Broadway. We had no idea what that was but decided, what the heck, let's see what this is about. We got front stage, since being in line, and it was the best part of our NYC trip. Not sure they still do this but it was some kind of event they do every year and have the main actors from all the Broadway plays performing and going into the crowd and talking to us. Fun, fun, fun. It was kind of like their New Years Eve with confetti falling from everywhere.

Sometimes you gotta go with the flow, it may turn out to be a lot of fun.

But there is a Krispy Kreme around the corner from the Duck Donut.

Might have to do a "taste test" one of these days.

@drizzellla    Before you go off to Krispy Kreme, consider my recent experience.  Hadn't been there for a long time but I went through the drive through and ordered a dozen chocolate iced, cream filled.  The bill was $17., for the dozen and half were the size of the small ones on the plate.  They were all stale.  I figured that they dump the junk on the drive through customers.  I'll never go there again.

@cjm61   Might turn out to be fun is not incentive for me to stand in line for anything.

Not even if Idris Elba, any Hemsworth or (fill in your hunk of choice) was standing buck nekkid and holding a suitcase of $100 dollar bills for me........I don't do lines.

Sorry to hear that.

My husband used to pick up a few dozen in the morning. So I could take them to work. At work they would disappear in no time.

They were always still warm. It used to be such a temptation to eat them as I drove to work. It was an hour ride. But I knew if I ate one I would want to eat them all.

@CrazyKittyLvr2 .......agree, no cake doughnuts for me. I prefer raised doughnuts only, in many different configurations lol.
