105 in Antioch today, 106 in Ukiah, 103 Livermore.

They didn't show the temp as high up inland as Redding, but the online report says it's 109 there.

104 for us with humidity. Yuck. Humidity makes me ill. I'm predicting more cases of Valley Fever with all the dust that's going to be disturbed by the winds. It is not something to take lightly.

kdgn, oh no, with humidity!  Take care.

I wonder how many towns and cities have cooling centers for the elderly and people with medical issues?

It shocked me to find out SF does NOT have any.  Another example of assuming AC would not be needed for the city, I guess.

All LA beaches down through the South Bay are closed due to lightning strikes, right now.

Thank goodness it's not humid here. We are staying inside, San Joaquin had the best air quality in the valley today. Sacramento's air quality is super bad and it's  110.

Thanks for checking in, renna!

110 in Sacto, oh no.  Dell is up there, I hope she's OK, what with the bad air.

[ Edited ]

It is currently 99 in the south bay. Hot, hot, hot and dry, dry, dry. Not a good combo. There've already been a couple of small fires in my area. My lawn is brown. My plants mostly seem to be okay for now. My car is filthy since I haven't been able to get to a car wash (I use ones that recycle).

I really feel for those in the Central Valley and more inland than I.

Hopefully it will cool off by Thursday like they're promising!
