@Kachina624     Oh....there's MORE......the "exit" onto the 7-lane highway is UPHILL into a curve.    And that is bad enough in a car...there have been several fatalities out there.....No way to "fix" that, either.....it's a mountain pass.......

@Kachina624    There's a local mtn range that runs thru the east side of the city.  Really "foothills" (under 3,000 ft peaks).
