@Roscoe the Rascal   We agree!  Jane most likely knows lots of the clothes she wears wouldn't be her choice when she's not selling. I respect what might have been her own choice not to try to disguise the appeal of the dress by hiding under a sweater or jacket which, I feel, would just add to turning viewers off.

Feel bad for her, she wore this dress for 5 hours straight on the air last night.

Jane has a challenging shape and this dress fit well thru the shoulders and bust.  Then had a enough fabric to flow over the hip area nicely.  Actually thought the length was good too.

Style was not for Jane, but unfortunately she was working the Woman With Control Show and had very little choice.

I say kudos to those who have to do what they have to do for work sometimes, especially when not something they would wear outside of work.

Renee is tall and thin and clothes are more for those with that shape and also those who travel.  Just what I think.  I'm just not a fan of her brand.   I have other favorites for me.

It bothers me that people are expected to follow dictates about what they "can" and "can't" wear based on their physical appearance.  People should be able to wear what they want.  I am always impressed by those that wear things I may be afraid to wear because they may not "look right" on me.  Someone thought that would be a good dress for Jane.  I am pretty sure that after all these years, Jane does not have to wear anything that she does not want to wear.  Many, maybe even most, hosts don't wear every item of clothing, shoes, they present.

Your comments here remind me of a quote from a book I heard about this morning about women trying to make themselves small, trying not to be seen, not to stand out.

I think we should not be afraid to be seen.

I thought the dress was lovely and bought one.
Love Renee’s dresses.
As for the fit , maybe if she had gone up a size it may have looked better around the hip area.JMO

Great Post! Negative, judgemental noise abounds here!

@Janey2 I agree the dress was not a good look for JT. It didn't help that the fabric appeared to be very thin and clingy. There was so much fullness at the ankles I would have got twisted up and fallen and landed on my face. Jane did a good job with what she was given.

I used to have an hour glass shape but fear I have turned into an apple! Basically, I am filling in in the midsection but am narrower in the hip and legs.

I have often wished that the hosts would say something like....."this style would be flattering on an apple shape".  I think Jane has that pear shape and that's why it is not her best style.

I honestly think talking about the different shapes might just save on returns and increase sales.

JT was doing her job. All in a day's work.

Jane can wear what she likes and if she likes it on good for her.  I am just saying I have  seen Jane in some lovely dresses and looks great.  This particular one in my opinion was not one of the best on her.  I didn't slam her body I just did not care for the style on her.   I couldn't wear it either and would not be good on me either.  Simply the style. Not all styles work for me either.

Bothers me when people read more into what is being said. I happen to like Jane.  I bet they have to now and then put on some items they do not care for but she is kind enough to do so too.
