Not you SusieQ. The post I'm talking about was mean spirited in my opinion, not a helpful suggestion to the OP.

Thank you for clarifying. I really did try to suggest it in a caring way.

What are you so offended about? Fast food restaurants are legal, they aren't drug dens. I do wonder why he wrote that down when he didn't do it. I think.....since your blood pressure was much higher than it usually is, so high that he adjusted your meds, I think he wanted you to be sodium free until you could see your own doc for care. Since fast food is so full of sodium, he wanted off it. It wasn't a value judgement, he wasn't saying that you eat unhealthily. He doesn't know you. I can only assume he was busy and didn't explain it properly. All you had had to say was that you never eat the stuff. Instead of stewing about something so silly.....which probably wasn't good for your blood pressure.

In the grand scheme of things, it doesn't really seem like anything to be concerned about...

things like this is what people worry about?? Is it any wonder the country is a mess?

I come here for entertainment after a BUSY and stressful weekend dealing with people who have REAL problems..if any walked 1/4 mile in their shoes..you wouldn't be complaining over such stuff...First post I see is somebody having the vapors over what a host said 5 am this morning..come to find out she was having a fit and didn't even have the name of the correct host..

So if I read this correctly..while shredding your MD files you had..you noticed your MD wrote not to eat at fast food places ..? and that is wrong why? Because you said he didn't personally tell you that..or that you don't eat there..as you then described to us in detail your diet..which personally I for one could really care less about what you eat/don't eat. You are an adult..you know what is right/wrong..and make your own decisions based on that.

Who knows maybe he did say it as he was leaving the room...maybe this was awhile ago and you forgot ...or when you may of not been listening..but it isn't the end of life as you know it..you want it corrected how?? .."oh the patient states she does NOT eat at fast food places and she stated MD never advised her of such..." That is going to do what??

I write many applications for court for MD's and I always put blanket statements in them regarding side effects of medication .risks vs benefits..etc.patients are advised to follow MD orders, not take more or less then prescribed..complete all prescriptions..etc...they are routine standard blanket information that goes on every court document. just like I am sure those who have diabetes their MD's state they were told about the ADA ..diet, exercise and sugar intake etc..standard industry information.

I have read many of the OP's posts on here... I have read many of her posts and it is never usually without the qualifer "due to my back, before my back, I can't because of my back.." negative qualifiers at all times. I totally sympathize and totally understand back issues. I have SEVERE back issues.. I don't prequalify it and identify myself by it...

If that is all many had in life to worry about..that their MD wrote on their chart not to eat at fast food places..when they don't eat there and that the MD did not tell them that....they would go to bed at night thankful.

Lighten up.

Like so many others here, I've had my share of medical problems. My therapist told me when you allow a condition to define you, the condition wins.

Ironically, that "earlier poster" does her share of complaining about what ails her on a consistent basis. I was surprised to read her post, you know , the pot-kettle thing. I would have been embarrassed to criticize somebody else for doing the same thing that I do. MO, of course.
