I saw that too and do feel some better and can relax more. Plus I had a Dr appt today and she put my fears at ease as well. She said, as we all know and have read and heard over and over, just do the same things you normally do during cold and flu season: washing hands, stay away from crowds, stay away from a hacking coughing person, take vitamins, eat healthy, hand sanitizer.
I also heard yesterday on the news that there is not alot to report about it right now so you hear the same news over and over and that is very true. They said get away from the news and listening and reading about the virus, and go about your business!

Dr. Jennifer Ashton was on GMA this morning and she said there is a website www.ready.gov that we should all follow. It is not specific to Covid-19 but rather anything in general that may cause people to need to be in their home for extended periods of time whether that be illness, storms, etc.
She said these things are things we should always have in our house.

Anyone on air, anyone who goes on camera (barring people just in some catastrophic event of course) is a politician. They are there to speak, to tell and sell a story and to tell it from a certain bias and viewpoint.
We don't like to hear it, but it is accurate. People censor what they say. People talk to you from their perspective. It's important you see any talking head to think about why they are talking and where they are coming from. We all say things slanted toward our perspective.

OMG, people need to stop.
There are a few here that are on the train to Hysteria or Panicville. From masks to cleaning products to hand sanitizers and now toilet paper.
Unless you are elderly or have a health issue that would be life threatening should you come down the virus, go on with your daily life, just make smart choices about where you are going.
Am I concerned, yes I am however I'm not going to find out when the next delivery of whatever is going to make it to the supermarket and go stand in line waiting for the store to open.

I'm sure he said the exact same things that all the experts have been saying since January but people just chose to upset themselves. I wish I knew why. If you this Pinsky guy got through to you helped you get perspective on things, I am very happy about that.

If we're so desperate for reassurance and leadership that we turn to some radio show host, we're in trouble.
Edited to add: So is this a political thread? I have no idea what this guy's persuasion is, only having heard him when I was younger giving quite explicit love and nookie advice.

He's a real doctor. He's a board certified internist who specializes in treating addictions and also board certified in addiction medicine.

So the advice is for alcoholics and opioid addicts and gambling addicts on how to not get sick? Maybe avoiding contagion in rehab? Or about how they should handle stress about it and not turn to the bottle or pills to feel better?
