I found a cancer support group-No One Goes Solo- that accepts costume jewlery.

YES! WE ARE CURRENTLY ACCEPTING DONATIONS!

Thank you for considering I Have Wings for your jewelry donation. We appreciate all types of unwanted costume or estate jewelry (even one earring!) to support survivors through our No One Goes Soloprograms throughout the year. It’s recycling at its best and all donations are tax deductible!

We will clean, repair and resell most jewelry to fund our programs, some may support other nonprofits in need of jewelry and/or senior craft projects. We handle each piece with TLC, knowing  you loved and cherished each piece.

We recommend you mail via the US Post Office in a priority mail box so it is easily tracked.

@granddi   Thank you for this info.  I was going to give some items to the Salvation Army but this is a good alternative.

Sounds like a good organization, I do have costume jewerly to get rid of.  I wanted to get on the mailing list, but you have to disclose your cell number....I don't give out my number, to bad....

Re: Donating costume jewelry

Last time I purged my overstuffed costume jewelry drawer, I found a flat box, lined it with tissue paper and brought the jewelry to the closest Nursing Home.

Staff there were so grateful. They said they'd use some as gifts to residents and prizes for the games they play

Re: Donating costume jewelry

I donate my costume jewelry to our local community thrift store. The money stays in our town to help the less advantaged.
