All the Walmarts I've been in have been decent...except for the fact that they are ultra thrifty with their water.

I think I'm safe.....lol I have no doubt this was a one time thing.

He probably didn't think anybody would be in to clean it over night so he was good to go..or good to cook!!

I had an encounter with nasty staff at my local Walmart the other day..and it was their fault..to begin with and then it escalated.

I had $9 in coupons that they forgot to redeem on cat products. I tried calling after I left. I was on hold 19 minutes...back and forth with the operator who felt horrible and didn't know what to say.....the entire time I was in another store.

So I went back..the Cashier and Trainee handed them to me as soon as they seen me..apologized and told me to take them to CS..well there it escalated..they wanted me to bring my entire grocery order back in the store..they had the receipt!!! It got to where the CSM was rude..told me she was not redeeming one of the products as it didn't say the name on the coupon. I said their coupon they programmed the wrong UPC in then as my cat only eats one kind and I grabbed all six..I went back and got the offending item and when she scanned it..sure enough it rang up something different..she wasn't to happy.....the clerk told me I was a nasty customer and it was customers like me that made him nasty too..HUH? I thought I held it together rather well..I told him I was not nasty ..had a bit of attitude but that I didn't swear, yell or anything but after being on hold 19-min and had to come back..he told me too bad he was the only staff on and he wasn't answering the phone and went on to berate me calling me names..yelling....

Said my sister was District Mgr and I would follow this up..and he then took his badge threw it at me to make sure I got his name..when I said keep it up ..I am recording you..he told me it was illegal. I said we are not in court..but in our state only one party has to be aware of the recording and I did..he then lost it.. told me he refused to wait on me..threw my receipt and stuff at the other girl who came up..and she was so rattled and upset. I told her that when I turned him and the CSM in..I would make sure they knew she performed her job fantastically under stress like that..Meanwhile I think he then stood there thinking over his behavior and how he acted and if I did indeed have it on my phone he acted horrible and spoke horrible and if anybody else heard it. I could see the wheels turning lol..he had his temper under control by then and was rethinking his actions.
I think he was ultimately mad that he was up there alone while somebody else was on their break and took it out on me. Said he was not throwing his Badge at me but threw it on the counter so I could see it..I said I didn't ask to see it..he was trying to figure out how to justify his behavior at that point.

I did follow up ..will they do anything..probably not.

Ok so it's not like a huge Walter White type lab - it's a couple of 2 liter bottles in a backpack. I know those chemicals can indeed explode but originally it was reported as though it was a huge working lab.

Think what a mess this country and our economy would be in if we didn't have Walmart to hire thousands of people.

Hi Kachina- nice to see a positive post. I am one of those people who shop in small stores to support the retail community in our little town. I also shop the farmers markers whenever I can. We do have several Walmarts here. It's a struggle sometimes to find items and or informed sales people. Admittedly I go there only for iPhone supplies. ) OT: we should revive our turquoise lovers forum, don't you think? )
