I think many assume the Dollar Tree is the same as other generic dollar stores,  it it is very different. After seeing more info, it doesn't appear that everything will be jacked up above a dollar...so time will tell.

???   I've read the articles, and don't see why anyone would think they are raising prices on everything. 

 

Yes, they will add some new merchandise that will sell for more than a dollar, but nowhere did the articles say that the dollar merchandise would have a price increase.

 

They are just doing what the 99 Cents Stores did a few years ago, more fully described in Post #32.  

 

This is a good idea that only benefits customers.
