Dog riot

Every so often, all of the dogs in my neighborhood (and there are a lot of them) start howling together. One starts it and the rest join in. It's loud but interesting to listen to.

Today it started a little early, considering it's Sunday--around 8:00 am. Shortly after that, one of the neighborhood kids (we have lots of those too) starting shrieking too. I think it's a little girl--only little girls can find that pitch that makes your ears want to implode.

It went on for a while and gradually died out. But I know there's plenty more where that came from. Oh well, the dog owners quieted their doggies and the little girl quieted down after a while. And she won't stay a little, shrieking, shrill screamer girl -- she's under 3 years old -- forever.

Just another day in my life. Pretty dull, huh? {#emotions_dlg.thumbup}
