I'm so glad they adopted the one-eyed dog too! It would have been cruel to leave it at the shelter without its best friend and protector.

Thanks for posting this heartwarming story about Corky and Captain. And I am so grateful that his family took in both of the dogs...nothing better than a reunion and saving a life in the process!

That is great, poor thing must be thin,might have heartworms, that gives people hope that are missing their dogs, a well know breeder of goldens,had her golden run away a few years ago at a dog show, hope she gets him back.

When you lose some one you L~O~V~E, that Memory of them, becomes a TREASURE.

@butterfly123 Awwww... What a heartwarming happy wonderful story to read! Thank-you for posting! It only Corky could talk....what a story he could tell about what the heck he had been up to all these years....

.I wonder if later he will move on again ....run away....escape and save another injured dog. Maybe that is the story of his life.... Touching and changing the lives of those who he comes in touch with ....he just came back home for a rest from his travels.
