Dog experts? Tips wanted for leaving dog while on vacation

We are going away for a week, first vacation in 4 years. My parents have agreed to keep our dog. They have never had a dog, but they love ours, and we all agreed that we cannot do the kennel again - only as a last resort anyway.

One of the issues I worry about is her sleeping situation. At home, she sleeps with us. And when we visit them, she sleeps in the guest bed with us.

Any ideas on how to indicate to her where she must sleep, (not with Gma and Gpa) and to make nighttime peaceful for my parents? Obviously we will take her favorite blanket, dog bed, my old sweatshirt Smile etc.
