Has anyone ever done this? Are they accurate? Is one brand better than the other?

We have a mixed-breed (mostly toy poodle, I think) rescue dog. The other day my family was discussing what other breeds she might have in her (her coloring & coat suggests she is not a pure bred toy poodle). I mentioned there is a kit that you can get to do the DNA testing, but I really didn't intend to spend the $50 or so on it. To my surprise, my DH said, let's do it! Oh, we'd love her if she was half-cat, but now I am kind of excited to find out her ancestry.
