I was at my neighbors house and there was alot of activity going on. Her Mom was visiting and had her dogs at my friends house. Long story short, the doorwall was open and they were bringing stuff in etc when the dogs (the were locked in bathroom) somehow got out. My friends yelled "don't let the dogs get out!" I reacted and grabbed one dog and she bit me while I was trying to keep her from going out to road.
The bite is small, two puncture wounds and the tendon was bitten into. It doesn't hurt much and is minimal
My question-they were not nice about me wanting to seek treatment. I don't have a car during the day so they had to drive me. Then they blew me off when I asked for them to pay for my prescription. (I also have an ER cost now). I told the ER it was a stray so the dog wasn't taken away etc...The dog wasn't up to date on shots-but I knew rabies wasn't an issue.
They didn't say as much, but I think they thought I went overboard and it was my fault (for restraining the dog from going out). what did "I" do wrong???
My husband is fuming-any thought will help me.
