Does your Dr office return your calls?

Im wondering if anyone else has this issue. Does your Dr's office call you back if you call?

Every time I call my pain Doctors office they never get back to me. I do not make a habit of calling for every little thing. I realize they have more than one office here in PA. But- I called first thing this morning and left a message about the following but summed up.

I have now not slept for 2 days and the pain in my back is so bad it now hurts sitting here. I have been sitting on chairs and shuffling to the powder room with my cane for days..Period. I cant get to the shower upstairs, I cant get up to bed. My poor husband (who doesn't complain) has had to wash me off and dress me. (Yes I know time for a stair climber but they are expensive and our insurance wont cover any of it) but we will be looking into it again soon).

If they don't call soon I am calling my family Dr. See I signed a paper for my back meds with my pain team so the family Dr may or may not help me with this. (They did help me 5 yrs ago when I was this bad). THEY (family Dr) are on top of things and call back but my pain team office does not. I even reported the Dr.'s staff to the Dr. last time I called them about scripts and no one called me back then either.

Ive had it up to here! I need some relief. Theres no use going to the ER because they give a shot in the rear for pain and until I get home its worn off.

If I were you I'd call your family doctor. They should find a way to get you some relief.

It's always a victory for me when I remember why I entered a room.

Re: Does your Dr office return your calls?

maybe they want you to make an actual appointment for your problem versus just discussing it with you on the phone?

I would call anybody that could help you at this point. Nobody should be in that much pain.

If your primary care physician will help you, call him/her or go to the ER if the pain is unbearable.

If my doctor did not return my calls, I would find a new doctor. There is absolutely no excuse for that.

My pediatrician group even tells you upfront, if you don't hear back from them in 10 minutes, to call again.

Always. He even called me this weekend when my Warfarin needed to be changed.

You should probably find some way to get to the ER. No one should have to endure so much pain as yourself. Please take care.

Re: Does your Dr office return your calls?

My 87 year old dad needs a heart valve replaced, like NOW, and he was referred to a hospital in the Bay Area. I have been calling and calling, leaving message after message, as well as my dad's doctor has been doing the same thing.

The stupid, stinkin' place won't return calls to either one of us!{#emotions_dlg.angry}

Was Yuban, then changed to Plaid Pants due to forum upgrade, and apparently, I'm back to being Yuban.
