Why would someone buy something just because someone else has it, such as a famous person.
That person is not me nor am I them.
It is a sales pitch and unfortunately millions of individuals buy into it and millions of dollars are made by products that are not worth it!
A ridiculous but poignant characterization of this would be something such as someone selling a Habit and saying Sister So and So wore this and you too can have that appeal, grace, humility and habit.
People can be so naive and gullible and envious.
