My meaning of "pro" btw means a "pro"fessional at trickery, not always charging money.(Also I don't think religion has anything to do with any of it.)

Gotcha. Actually, my religion frowns on this sort of thing, to be honest; and we definitely believe in an after-life, I should add.

Re: Does anyone watch Long Island Medium?

We saw her at a live show once in our area. From what we experienced, she was 'spot on' with her channeling.

Many years ago, I saw a medium in Florida (who is now passed). I still have a cassette tape of my hour long session with him. Without going into great detail which would be very long, he was the real deal to me.

Also, my ex husband was there during the reading (who was skeptical), and his younger sister came through which totally surprised him.

My experience is that until you actually have a personal reading with them (he only knew my first name and nothing more), only then can you make the decision.

Of course we believe in eternal life for everyone. Where you spend this life depends on if you accept the gift offered by the work of the cross. That is the simple, but major tenet of Christianity. The spirit of the believer is present with the Lord in heaven at the moment of death, not wandering around the earth waiting to be observed by mediums, psychics, or the likes.

JMHO

When the Medium channeled my Dad, I had the distinct feeling he was with God, and those he loved,including my Mom, not "wondering the earth somewhere".... His spirit was intact after death...i really thought that would be something comforting to Christians...

Again, this is my belief. My "comfort" comes from knowing my believing loved ones are with the Lord. This is part of faith. I am happy that you found comfort in your experience. We have all been given free will and free choice. That is why there are so many denominations, religions, etc. Humans don't agree on everything. I appreciate that we can have this conversation without unkindness.

BTW I have always been intrigued by your forum nic - does it say "still tame and ate her"? Is there a story there? {#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}

My name is Tammy...my nickname in real life is Tamn8r, sort of a take off on the old "terminator" movie... When I first signed up here, I was just Tamn8r... Then there was a glitch a couple years later, and they made me pick a new nick, ( cause they said mine was "taken").. So I chose STILL Tamn8r, so people would know who I was... Nowadays,my Grandkids, call me "Gramn8r" or "GramTam".....

Re: Does anyone watch Long Island Medium?

I know someone who is clairvoyant. I do believe in this "skill," if you will.

I don't see it as mutually exclusive from believing in God.

I think that there are a lot of things that we as humans cannot understand in our physical form, but we "get" when we revert to our spiritual form.

I am just stating my belief. I don't seek to challenge others' beliefs. I think everyone needs to believe what is true for them.

She's not about religion; she's strictly show biz. She's there to entertain you, and it's all an act. I can't believe how seriously people take this nonsense.
