Does anyone watch Farmhouse Rules on the Food Network?

I just recorded it because it was on around one of the other shows I sometimes record, so I figured I'd give it a shot. It's like a cross between P Deana and Ina. I can't really get into it. She's into rich, Southern food (ok, I like that part, LOL), and her husband is on the show, like Jeffrey (Geoffrey?) is. It lacks creativity, IMO. Just wondered if anyone else had seen it.

I just cannot get into it for some reason. I love her house. I love that she shows where she lives as I am interested in that area but I just cannot get into her. I don't dislike her but I don't feel a connection if that makes sense, I can't quite put my finger on it.

I am not against giving it a chance but I don't think that will make a difference. When Giada started, she was really really awful. She even admits how awful she was but there was still something I connected with her about so I kept watching. I don't want to continue to watch this show and it really bums me out because out of all the news shows on Food Network (like all the challenge shows I hate) I really wanted to like this one.

I have watched her a few times and I can not "warm up" to her, just not sure what it is

I agree with both of you. It's just kind of weird. She tries to be cutesy and say funny things, but they don't pan out for me -- at all. And the recipes I've seen are a little ho-hum. I guess it just feels like she's trying too hard or something.

I believe she, her family, and farm are in upper NY state.

Her recipes may be rich, but not Southern.

I haven't been able to warm up to her, either.

Yes, she's in upstate NY near Albany. I looked up one of the vendors she went to one day to get apple vodka. I like her, but I agree with others that she's not super inviting nor effervescent personality.

Maybe I just thought she was into Southern food bc she was frying chicken. Lol! And she kind of acts like PD. Smiley Wink I do like her home.

I have watched it at the gym on a treadmill. LOL! There is no sound, just captions, so I don't get the whole gist of the show. Maybe that is a good thing, concidering many of you don't like her voice . However, she made pancakes and sandwiches in the show I watched. It didn'tseem like any extraordinary recipes, but I like those shows sometimes. I eat healthy, organic and meatless all the time. I like to watch shows that serve food I can't eat. LIke DDD! Sometimes I get an idea, then make it to go with our lifestyle

I find her very annoying. Her voice is like nails on a chalkboard. Can't stand her tasting the food and reinserting the spoon right back into the food, which she does on every show. I keep watching hoping I'll find something redeeming about her. It hasn't happened yet. LOL

She and her husband remind me of very bad actors who are trying too hard to be great actors.

Well, not only didn't warm up to her but I didn't care for the husband either. I was wonder how dry that leftover cooked chicken was after being breaded and fried.
