I was thinking about signing up for a password manager where you have one master password. But after the site had a huge data breach, I decided against it.

So now, I just store them on a thumb drive. And also use Apple and Googles password managers.

Thanks all for the replies.  I am actually looking at something that is not free because,  like I said above, sometimes you get what you pay for 🙂

Re: Does anyone use a password manager?

I don't use a password mananger, but it's something I might think about setting up.

Currently, I have nothing written down and just use my memory.

When I was working, I had to recall over 70 different passwords to get into different accounts.  At first, I used a cheat sheet, but after a few years, I had memorized them.

I use these passwords in my everyday life now.  Some are 10 letters and numbers long with symbols and they do not spell any words. Impossible to guess.

My memory is excellent at this point...better than most, but it might not last forever.

I suppose if I get hung up or sick, I should have something set up so my family can get into my accounts.

Something to think about......

Re: Does anyone use a password manager?

Question for anyone .........

Do we really need two step verification?  I keep getting prompts and find them annoying.

Granted .... it seems that sooner or later everyone gets hacked and super-secure sites get breached.

I just don't want to create too many barriers and then find out I "locked myself out".  LOL

With all the hacking I have started using the old-fashioned way. I have a logbook where I keep all my passwords. I store it with my cookbooks!! Smiley Wink

I don't trust these online sites. Seems like a lot of Banks, credit card companies, etc get hacked too often.

Re: Does anyone use a password manager?

I have my passwords printed out and  haven't tried out password manager. Since the passwords are stored online in a manager, couldn't they be hacked? Unfortunately, anything online is at risk.
