My friend just told me she is going to watch the movie we went to see today (The Imitation Game) on Movie Tube. She has the APP for her phone.

I looked it up on the net and it seems the APP is free. What? And you can watch some of the RECENT movies on it.

I also see a place to download the APP for Windows. (I have a prepaid cell and wouldn't want to watch a movie on a phone anyway, but it looks like you can dload it on the puter).

Just wondering is this too good to be true? I cant believe you can watch recent movies for FREE without some catch? lol. (But it looks like you can!).

Curious, I Googled it. Odd websites popped up talking about it. I searched in the Apple Community...nothing. I did find an app, which I believe is what you're referring, but there are no reviews...nothing. The developer website is just a Go Daddy advertisement. The developer has another app, but it's a dating site.

I, personally, would stay clear. Yeah, it looks like a legit app, but if you 'accept' their terms & conditions, you might be opening yourself to unwanted things. Like the saying goes..."if it's too good to be true, it probably is".

Someone DH works with recommended it to DH. That guy has watched several movies so far and so have other guys at DH's work.

I'm leary of it if for nothing else, it's not legal.

"Movie Tube" and "Popcorn Time" use piracy to show many (probably most) of the movies. Personally, I'd stay far away from them.

Thanks I had forgotten about this post.

Now my teen granddaughter told me that her friends use movietube.com to watch newe movies on their phones. She did say some of the movies are messed up and don't work right, others are great.

I don't know if I trust it. I think Im finally just going to sign up for Netflix once and for all since we do have a smart tv. (I prefer watching on big screens not phones, notebooks, netbooks).
