I was just there today - maybe the first time in 5 years?
I found exactly what I was looking for - an inexpensive rolling carryon size piece of luggage. I don't intend to use it often to carry onto a plane - more for short car trips and in a few weeks to carry onto the Auto-train.
KMart was just fine; spent 19.99+tax. Cheapest acceptable piece I'd seen elsewhere was in the $50 range. I'm pretty sure I had this same case some years back and I did carry it all over the world as my carryon. I gave it to a friend a few years back and it's still rolling. As I remember, it was about the same price about 10 years ago!
Didn't check out any other departments today, but overall my impression at this KMart was that it was clean, well-lighted, and running well. Lots of cars in its parking lot.
